Low-Carb Eating Patterns and Energy

In two earlier posts I introduced some of our early HELP Heroes, Kevin and Curt, who have been among the early people Lisa and I have helped get started on a low-carb diet.

In this continuation of that interview, they share how low-carb eating has affected their energy levels and their appetites. Most days they're just eating one meal in the late afternoon or the early evening, and while they feel empty in the afternoons they don't really feel hunger.

Both of them also report significant increases in energy because they burn fat (which they always have with them) instead of sugar, which fluctuates.

They also both enjoy making this yogurt and having it as dessert for their daily meal, as it is delicious and also helps to suppress appetite.

The weight loss result for both have been great as well, as at the time we did this interview Kevin had lost 35 lbs. since December and Curt had lost 34 lbs. in about six months.

The goal of HELPcare is to gather a tribe to provide mutual support and encouragement in making changes to improve health and well-being. Kevin and Curt have done that for each other, and we hope that through this video series they'll help you, too.

In the final video in this series, they'll share some closing reflections on what they've learned after several months of low-carb, healthy fat living, and how they would advise others considering making a change. Learn more about HELPcare health coaching here.
