Getting Sleep HELP from an Oura Ring

Sleep Sufficiently is one of the ten elements of HELP: The Health, Energy & Longevity Plan. Poor sleep quality (and insufficient quantity) diminish your readiness for the challenges of the day and also contribute to poor health.
One tool I have used for almost two years to track and improve my sleep is the Oura Ring. I learned about it through Dr. Peter Attia's podcast, and took advantage of a brief period during which an extra discount was offered to his premium subscribers.
Oura not only tracks sleep cycle phases (Awake, REM, Light and Deep) but also heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), temperature and respiration. When synced to the Oura app on your smart phone it provides both a Sleep score for the night and also a Readiness score that estimates how well you have recovered from activities of the previous day.
Here are some screen shots from my scores yesterday:

I've learned a lot about myself and what affects my sleep through my Oura. When I eat too close to bedtime, my sleep is hindered and my resting heart rate doesn't get as low as it should. Alcohol after 8 p.m. has a similar effect.
Sometimes the app will tell me that I might not be fully recovered, and so I might want to do a lighter workout. Cues include that my temperature is a little high or that my heart rate didn't reach its minimum until just before waking.

Now Oura Ring Generation 3 is available, and it includes 7 temperature sensors, daytime heart rate monitoring and (in 2022) also will measure blood oxygen saturation.
It even predicts periods, which doesn't do much for me but may be helpful for some.
As a current customer, I got a discount on Generation 3, and also have three discount codes I can offer to friends who want to get one. I'm offering them to HELPcare Community members on a first-come, first-served basis.
In full transparency, if 2 or 3 people use my discount code I get Oura sweatpants or an Oura hoodie.
As we get ready to launch HELPcare publicly, I hope to develop opportunities with companies that produce products I have found helpful, to get our members the best possible prices. Oura is one I plan to approach.
We will not take any payment from these companies because we want you to know we're not recommending them out of mixed motives. We will want the companies to put anything they would pay for advertising into a better price for our members.
If you would like to take advantage of one of my discount codes, first check out Oura and make sure it's right for you.
Once you're decided you definitely want to get one, then send me an email requesting the promotional code that will save you $50.
If you have kids who don't know what they could get you for Christmas, maybe suggesting Oura would be a good option.
If your purchase gives you the option to share discount codes, perhaps you can pay it forward by offering your codes to others in the HELPcare Community as I'm doing now.
