Meet Elizabeth Hedlund: HELPcare Clinic Physician Assistant

This week we are featuring Elizabeth Hedlund, one of the HELPcare Clinic providers. Get to know a little bit about Elizabeth, and what she hopes you will experience when you come for an appointment.

Elizabeth Hedlund, PA

Elizabeth attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and obtained her Physician Assistant degree from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN in 2001. She has spent most of her career in family medicine in the Twin Cities (Fairview practice) and in Owatonna (Mayo Clinic). In addition, she has worked in urgent care as well as in the medical treatment of patients with eating disorders at The Emily Program in St. Paul, MN.

Elizabeth lives with her husband and four children in Owatonna, where they moved in 2016 to get back to more of a small-town life. In her free time, she enjoys watching her sons play hockey and attending her daughter's choir and musical performances. She is active in her Owatonna community through serving in her church, participating in foster care, and teaching a science class at Oak Hills Academy.

To her, the best part of practicing medicine is helping people and families improve their whole selves.  She strives to take a functional approach to solving problems and promoting wellness, ultimately guiding people to make the best health care decisions for themselves and their children.
