80 Lab Tests Included, Church Group Discounts

On this morning's edition of Restoring the Soul of Health Care on KAUS AM 1480, Dr. Dave Strobel and I discussed with John Wright some key developments from the last month at HELPcare Clinic, and how they increase the value of this membership-based approach to health care.

What makes the value of HELPcare Clinic possible is that we don't take insurance. That keeps our costs lower because we get rid of much of the administrative overhead cost, and we pass those savings on to patients. As the patient, you're the customer, and you don't have insurance companies meddling in the relationship with your provider.

If you want to try HELPcare Clinic before committing to membership, you can save at least 25% on office visits and 50% or more on lab tests as compared with the insurance-based, industrial health system.

We're making membership an even better value by adding benefits and reducing costs.

Adding Benefits

When we began lab testing at HELPcare Clinic last year, we said membership would include 45 of the most commonly needed diagnostic blood tests as needed at no extra charge.

As the needs of members have caused HELPcare Clinic providers to order additional tests, however, the number of covered tests has steadily grown.

As of yesterday, it's more than 80!

These tests can cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in the insurance-based industrial health care system, but they're included in membership! Many people save enough on lab tests alone to pay for their entire membership.

Reducing Costs

People who are referred by a current member or who join as part of a group save $20 per month on our already affordable premier membership dues.

They reduce our promotional costs, so we share the savings with them.

While any kind of group can qualify for savings, last month we announced a special program for church members. Many of our members appreciate our statement of faith, so we have developed materials they can share with fellow church members.

And for any membership type, choosing annual instead of monthly membership and paying for the year in advance saves you an extra 16%: you get 12 months for the price of 10.
