Dr. Dave Explains: Antibiotics

In today's video, Dr. Dave Strobel gives a brief introduction to the topic of antibiotics, how they work, and what to do when they don't.

Antibiotics are an essential part of healthcare and are estimated to save over 200,000 lives each year in America alone. As important and incredible as antibiotics are, they are not a silver bullet, and they are not without their drawbacks.

In the learning module this video is taken from, you will hear a brief overview of how antibiotics work, what types of infections should or should not be treated with antibiotics, and why taking antibiotics for an infection shouldn't be the end of your care.
