Smokey Chicken Sauce: Cuisine HELP

Try this sugar free take on a popular fast food sauce!

Finding healthy, low-carb sauces can be a challenge. Primal Kitchen has some good options, however they are cost prohibitive for most.

A yummy sauce, such as this copycat recipe inspired by a popular restaurant that isn't open on Sundays, can turn ordinary chicken into a delicious meal. I enjoyed the sauce alongside some leftover rotisserie chicken today for a delicious lunch!

How I Make It

Our homemade mayo serves as the base for this sauce, however you can use whatever mayo you have in this recipe. Just mix all the ingredients in a pint sized canning jar, and store in the refrigerator.

I like to use the full three teaspoons of liquid smoke, but you can adjust according to your preference. Use your favorite low-carb sweetener to taste, my current favorite is Splenda Magic Baker.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (1 batch of homemade mayo makes 1 cup)
  • 1 TBS Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2-3 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1 TBS low-carb sweetener (more or less to taste)
