Homemade Ranch Dressing/Dip: Cuisine HELP

Enjoy this ranch as a dip, or over your favorite salad!

I haven't met a person who doesn't like ranch dressing or dip! This homemade version is low-carb and easy to make!

Depending on the mayo you use, you can also ensure that this dressing is free of inflammatory seed oils.

Dip low-carb veggies like celery, cucumber, or bell peppers in this ranch, or enjoy it over a green salad!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (try my homemade recipe)
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/3 cup milk (or buttermilk)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except milk into a small bowl and mix well.
  2. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency. I like to use less milk for a thicker dip and more milk for a pourable salad dressing.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. For best results refrigerate at least two hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Giving Credit Where It's Due

I found this original recipe at Spend With Pennies and have modified it a bit (shown above) to fit my family's tastes. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
