Just in time for health insurance open enrollment season, we have an updated and expanded edition of our informational booklet, Saving Through Membership, to help you navigate choices for your health care in 2024.

Saving Through Membership V2 describes the HELPcare Clinic membership model of health care and how it significantly reduces costs for primary care as opposed to the traditional insurance-based model.

It explains why the insurance system drives up the cost of routine care, and how at HELPcare Clinic you can save enough on lab tests alone to pay for your membership. Your membership includes:

• $0 charge for office visits, from scheduled physicals to acute care needs
• $0 charge for more than 100 diagnostic lab tests as needed
• $0 charge for point-of-care tests like rapid Strep, INR and SARS-CoV-2 antigen that can be completed during your visit
• $0 charge of EKG and InBody body composition testing
• $0 charge for simple office procedures such as injections, stitches and wart removal.

Besides all of these, your membership also includes your first two metabolic health coaching sessions to guide you in lifestyle changes that can help you prevent and even reverse disease.

A newly expanded chapter of the booklet describes how employers can offer HELPcare Clinic membership to employees as a benefit, either on its own or as part of a complete employee health plan.

Finally, in Appendix B you'll find a list of the lab tests HELPcare Clinic has provided at no charge to members, along with the average prices charged for those same tests by providers in Austin and Rochester who accept insurance.
