Post-Bulletin Highlights HELPcare Clinic Growth, ‘Health Insurance with HELPcare’

The lead story in the Health section of today's weekend print edition of the Rochester Post-Bulletin highlights the continued growth of HELPcare Clinic membership and describes how an Austin business is saving over 20% on its monthly health insurance costs through our new Health Insurance with HELPcare program.

As Jeff Kiger reports, HELPcare Clinic now has more than 780 members between our locations in Austin and Rochester. Membership includes:

• Unhurried primary care visits at $0 charge. In addition to scheduled visits such as a routine physical, this also includes timely care for acute conditions and simple office procedures (e.g. mole removal, stitches, injections)
• More than 100 diagnostic blood tests as needed at $0 charge. Most people save enough on lab tests alone to pay for their membership.
• Your first two chronic medications from our dispensary at $0 charge. This includes refills as needed.
• Your first two metabolic health coaching appointments at $0 charge. Those who want more support and guidance can take advantage of our 13-week program called HELPcare Challenge. HELPcare Clinic members save 50%.

Health Insurance with HELPcare enables employers to wrap these membership benefits inside a complete health insurance plan for their employees. With all of this $0 care included, out-of-pocket costs for employees are much less, but they still have the same or better coverage for major medical expenses such as hospitalization, emergency department or specialty care. As Colton Storla of North Risk Partners said in the Post-Bulletin story:

"More and more people are, what we like to call, 'functionally uninsured.' They have insurance, but their deductibles are so high that they're scared to use their policies.... It's getting to the point where people can't afford to have insurance and they can't afford not to have it."
