Join HELPcare Group Fast II!
We're organizing another group fast next week to provide support, encouragement and motivation for HELPcare Challenge participants and others who want to take their experience of fasting up a notch.
I'll be kicking off HELPcare Group Fast II on Tuesday, May 7 with a bacon-and-eggs breakfast and will conclude it in the same manner on Friday, May 10.

As I described in launching HELPcare Group Fast I at the beginning of Lent, my wife Lisa and I have adopted a practice of doing a three-day fast roughly every other month.
We do it mainly for health benefits, particularly for its cancer-prevention potential.
During HELPcare Challenge, Coach Jane Connell guides a cohort through a 13-week health improvement program based on our booklet called HELP: the Health, Energy & Longevity Plan, spending a week on each of its 10 elements, including fasting.
That's why we introduced group fasting: to encourage everyone in HELPcare Challenge to push their fasting just a bit further than they had previously.
While I'll be doing a 72-hour fast starting May 7, the length of your HELPcare Group Fast II is up to you.
