Guides to Living Better, Longer
At HELPcare we recognize that lifestyle changes are the most powerful levers you can pull to improve your health.
That’s why we’ve offered HELPcare Coach services since our beginning, and why we developed HELPcare Challenge last year as a more intensive health-improvement program.
We also have a lending library where members can check out helpful books at no charge and have a Recommended Reading page on our website with links to our online Amazon affiliate store, where you can purchase books while supporting HELPcare at no additional cost to you.
Two of the more recent additions to the page are #1 New York Times bestsellers:
Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity, by Peter Attia, M.D. with Bill Gifford (496 pages)
Good Energy: The Surprising Connection between Metabolism and Limitless Health, by Casey Means, M.D. with Calley Means (400 pages)
These are excellent books and I agree with probably 90% or more of the content in each of them. They’ll give you a better scientific understanding of the reasons why you should make lifestyle changes so that, as Dr. Attia says, your “healthspan” (your years of health and vitality) can come close to matching your lifespan (how long you live).
They’re well worth your time to purchase and to read if you’re willing and able.
That’s why they’re on our Recommended Reading page!
But we realize many people don’t have the time or inclination to digest several hundred pages and would prefer a practical how-to guide to help them get started on health improvement more quickly.
HELP: The Health Energy & Longevity Plan is our 18-page answer, and it’s available FREE on our website.
HELP is a 10-point plan I synthesized from dozens of books and from the guidance of more than 70 physicians, scientists and health journalists I call my Health Sherpas. Dr. Dave Strobel, our HELPcare medical director, reviewed and refined it based on his 30-year career as a family physician and his strong interest and experience helping patients with metabolic syndrome.
Scores of our HELPcare Clinic members have used HELP to improve their health, and it has provided the framework for HELPcare Coach metabolic health coaching services and for HELPcare Challenge.
Both Outlive and Good Energy provide deeper information with more nutritional nuance than HELP does, but they’re also 372-478 pages longer.
HELP is our quick-start guide for people who want a way to get healthier, with weight loss as a welcome side effect.
It’s FREE when you sign up for your complementary account on HELPcare.health.
Here’s to your Health, Energy and Longevity!
