Meet Danae Boorsma, HELPcare Clinic Nurse Practitioner

We're pleased to announce the newest member of the HELPcare Clinic practitioner team: Danae Boorsma, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, who is starting orientation this week at HELPcare Clinic Austin.

Adding Danae will enable us to continue providing the personal, unhurried primary care services our members appreciate as the number of members continues to grow.

Danae is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of experience in primary care, women's health, pediatrics and holistic medicine. She graduated summa cum laude through Winona State University Nursing program in Rochester, MN and began a nursing career at Mayo Clinic in Cardiology in 2006.

After 8 years of exploring travel nursing in the areas of Perioperative, inpatient and outpatient Cardiology, and Pediatric Intensive Care; Danae returned to school to pursue a Master's education in Family Medicine through UCLA in 2014.

Danae's mother, Sandy Roe, was a Founding Member of HELPcare Clinic and now serves as a part-time receptionist at HELPcare Clinic Austin and HELPcare Clinic Rochester.

Danae is currently pursuing advanced certification in Integrative Medicine through the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, due in 2026. Her passions include mental and spiritual health, lifestyle medicine, hormone therapy and gut health.

Danae recently reflected on her career journey and her decision to move back to Minnesota from Los Angeles County, and why she's excited to practice medicine as part of the HELPcare Clinic family.

Lee Aase is the founder of HELPcare LLC, which provides comprehensive membership, marketing and management services for provider-owned HELPcare Clinics, as well as metabolic health education and coaching for people interested in restoring health and reversing disease through lifestyle changes. Lee and his wife Lisa live in Austin, MN and have six married children and 18 grandchildren.
