Mower County Health Plan includes HELPcare Clinic Membership

Plan is 'Win-Win' for Employees and Taxpayers

The Mower County Board of Commissioners has approved a new health insurance plan for county employees that will save taxpayers at least $678,000 in 2025 by including all of the benefits of HELPcare Clinic membership.

The Mower County Health Plan continues in-network access for employees' current providers while adding $0 out-of-pocket care at HELPcare Clinic and for preferred specialty care providers. Most employees also will see an increase in their take-home pay because their health insurance premiums will be reduced.

As with other Health Insurance with HELPcare plans, giving employees access to free care at HELPcare Clinic will reduce overall costs because

  • They won't have to worry about the bill, so they'll get care earlier, preventing their health problems from worsening and becoming more expensive to treat, and
  • When they go to HELPcare Clinic they'll be getting high-quality care that costs less.
