Introducing Take Charge with HELPcare

We're pleased to announce the launch of our new podcast, Take Charge with HELPcare!

Take Charge is a weekly program in which we'll be discussing why direct primary care (DPC) is an essential element in fixing the ills in the U.S. health care system, and why HELPcare Clinic's particular approach to DPC is refreshing to practitioners and beneficial for member patients and employers.

At HELPcare Clinic:

  • You're a member, not a number.
  • You get affordable, personal care, and
  • We HELP you take charge of your health and your health care.

We also help employers take charge of health plan costs while providing better benefits to employees, and help practitioners (physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants) take charge of their health care careers.

We're Restoring the Soul of Health Care.

Dan Hinmon, a long-time friend and colleague from my days leading Mayo Clinic's social media program, is my co-host. We'll have conversations with HELPcare Clinic practitioners, members, employer plan sponsors and like-minded professionals who've joined the health care and health insurance revolution based on direct primary care (DPC).

Here's a taste of some upcoming episodes, in which we discussed the HELPare Clinic model with current partners in the practice, and why they find it more satisfying than jobs they've had in the traditional health care system:
