Dr. Dave Explains: Supplements

In today's video, Dr. Dave Strobel talks for a few minutes about supplements, their uses, and four vitamins and minerals that are nearly universally deficient.

Much of the food we eat in the modern world is lacking in nutritional value; not just the junk foods, but even the "healthy foods" we eat are often not as nutritious as we might think due to the industrial yields of modern agriculture.

Nutritional supplements are, as evidenced by the name, meant to be supplemental to a broader healthy diet in order to provide some of the nutrients that may otherwise be missing. When those nutrients are returned, the body may be able to better deal with disease or chronic conditions that had otherwise required medications to manage.

In the learning module this video is taken from, you will hear a brief overview on supplements, recommended daily averages, and which supplements may be worth taking. Premium members can watch the full lesson, as well as all of our other learning modules on our website.
