Gallbladder issues with a ketogenic diet?
One of our early HELPcare Community members recently raised this question about potential gallbladder issues when starting a ketogenic diet:
Gallbladder issues run in my family. I haven’t had any trouble yet, but I’m aware I could. Are there any special things I could/should be doing as I adopt a higher fat diet?

In either case, videos from Dr. Strobel are not a specific medical recommendations and do not create a doctor-patient relationship.
Here's a helpful overview of what the gallbladder does and how patients with gallbladder problems, or who have had the gallbladder removed, are sometimes affected by a higher-fat ketogenic diet.

Metabolic health coaching is available through HELPcare Coach, helping people to reclaim their health and even reverse disease through lifestyle changes. This is reassuring. Thank you for addressing my question so thoroughly. My mother has had her gallbladder removed, so I'll be sharing this information with her as well.
