HELPcare Clinic Laboratory Services Start Monday

HELPcare Clinic membership includes 45 of the most commonly needed diagnostic blood tests at no extra charge.

That means no deductible or co-pay for a broad menu of blood tests!

Here's a partial list:

  • Basic or Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
  • Complete Blood Count
  • Lipid Panel, as well as advanced cardiovascular risk factor testing as needed
  • Insulin
  • Inflammation markers
  • Hemoglobin A1c
  • Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy
  • Thyroid tests, including TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Thyroid Antibodies
  • Uric Acid
  • Testosterone
  • Liver enzymes

We have contracted with one of the nation's largest reference laboratories, Labcorp, for reduced pricing that is billed directly to HELPcare. That keeps administrative costs low as well, and we pass the savings along to you by making these test included in your membership.

During HELPcare Clinic's first two months the lab wasn't operational, so Founding Members either had to wait for blood draws or go to the Labcorp collection facility in Bloomington if they wanted to get tests done more quickly.

But this week we did the first two blood draws on the HELPcare Clinic premises, got the samples to Labcorp for processing and have received the results.

I was patient #1:

Now that we've worked out those logistical details, we're planning to do six more patient blood draws on Monday, April 4.

After those have been successfully run through the system and results are received we'll be ready to start the lab testing in earnest for HELPcare Clinic members.

Rapid Testing

HELPcare Clinic's lab also has received approval as a CLIA-waived lab, which means several types of rapid testing will be available onsite, including:

  • Strep
  • INR/Coagulation
  • Influenza A/B
  • SARS-CoV-2
  • Mononucleosis
  • Glucose
  • Hemoglobin
  • Urine Chemistry
  • Pregnancy

These will be included as needed at no extra charge as well. They're part of your membership. We've ordered the equipment and will begin this testing when the instruments arrive.

HELPcare Coach services are offered separately for $49 per month or $499 per year, but they're included in your HELPcare Clinic membership.
