Foundation

HELPcare Foundation has received 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the IRS. Its purposes are:

To provide a means by which low-income families and those faced with health disparities may receive membership to the HELPCare Clinic
To provide interpreter services to those members who are otherwise unable to communicate with staff
To provide low-interest loans to assist members with high-deductible insurance plans who are faced with immediate emergency and/or catastrophic health care costs
To provide health-related education to the community.

As its initial project, HELPcare Foundation has developed an application process for those who can't afford the full membership dues to apply for a partial scholarship.

Sources of funds for the scholarships will include:

Grants from foundations or government entities
Tax-deductible contributions from HELPcare Clinic members and others who support the mission of making unhurried, personal primary care available broadly on an affordable basis.
