Meet Lee Aase: HELPcare Founder
This week we are featuring Lee Aase, founder of HELPcare and Administrator of HELPcare Clinic. Get to know Lee, and more about his role at HELPcare Clinic.

Before starting HELPcare, Lee worked for 21 years at Mayo Clinic, where he started and led its social media program. He founded the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network and traveled to more than 40 states and a dozen countries encouraging health care professionals and organizations to use social media tools to connect with patients.
Starting in 2016, Lee and his wife, Lisa, embarked on a personal journey to reclaim and restore their health through lifestyle changes. They each lost more than 50 lbs. and Lee says he feels healthier as he approaches age 60 next month than he did in his early 40s.
A Saturday morning coffee in Oct. 2019 with his high school friend, Dr. Dave Strobel, inspired Lee to go back to school to get an MBA in Health Care Management. Together, they wrote HELP: The Health, Energy & Longevity Plan and conceived what has become HELPcare Clinic, which opened in their hometown, Austin Minn., in Feb. 2022 and in Rochester, Minn. in January 2023.
Lee leads HELPcare, which manages HELPcare Clinic, and with Lisa provides HELPcare Coach services to help members take charge of their health through lifestyle changes.
Lee's goal is to help as many people as possible restore their health through HELPcare's free online resources, and to eventually support other physicians interested in starting their own HELPcare Clinic practices.
