HELPcare Clinic is Open in Austin!
HELPcare Clinic had a successful first week getting ready for Dr. Dave Strobel to see his first patients in its new facility at 308 4th Ave NW in Austin, MN.
Tuesday through Thursday were post-construction cleaning and preparation days, as well as a Sneak Peek opportunity for Founding Members to tour the clinic space and schedule their initial appointments.
Friday morning before the first patient arrived, Dr. Dave provided this tour:

April is among the first 151 Founding Members of HELPcare Clinic who are helping to launch this health care alternative.
HELPcare Clinic is a physician-owned direct primary care clinic, which means it uses a monthly or annual membership model instead of insurance.
HELPcare LLC, the firm I founded after retiring from Mayo Clinic, provides management services to HELPcare Clinic so Dr. Dave and future providers can devote full attention to their patients. It also provides the HELPcare Community and HELPcare Coach services which are included for HELPcare Clinic members and offered separately to others.
The HELPcare Clinic membership model and not accepting insurance of any kind helps us keep administrative costs low: we don't need a big staff to haggle with insurance companies over reimbursement.
In addition to unlimited primary care, metabolic health coaching and community support for healthy lifestyle changes, in the relatively near future HELPcare Clinic membership will include a large panel of diagnostic blood tests and many generic medications as prescribed.
Most people will probably save enough on their labs alone to pay for the cost of their membership.
The lab isn't operating yet, and as Dr. Dave is transitioning from his work with the Pipe Trades Family Health & Wellness Centers the appointment availability isn't what it will be in the near future.
That's why we're offering special Founding Member rates to the first 300 members who join during this launch phase. They are people who believe in the HELPcare Clinic vision and are willing to live with some short-term inconvenience to help it become reality.
They're also helping us identify and solve problems to shape and improve the services provided. And in recognition of their support and contributions they will get long-term savings that continue even after HELPcare Clinic is fully functional.
Even if regular rates increase in the future due to inflation, Founding Members will receive the same percentage discount (28-33%) they're getting now.
